Wines by KT are small, lovingly cared for parcels of fruit that have traditional techniques used in their creation. I’m passionate about the township of Watervale 5452 and am working with dry grown, sustainably farmed vineyards in the area. With gentle care from grapegrower to winemaker, working with sustainable principles, it’s my intention to produce wines with drinkability and personality.
2022 Bianca Vermentino
Bianca by KT is made from Vermentino grown by the Koerner family in the hamlet of Leasingham in the Clare Valley. Vermentino is a white grape variety that originally heralds from the island of Sardinia in Italy and is enjoyed for its resistance to dry and warm conditions and its high natural acidity. This wine is created using wild fermentation techniques, meaning 100% indigenous yeast and partially fermented in older French oak barrels.
This Vermentino has gorgeous aromatics and florals and a textural savoury palate with a zesty citrus finish. As is the tradition in Italy - it’s perfectly partnered with sardines.
Sealed with a screwcap to ensure the integrity of the product, you can be confident that this wine will continue to reward you with careful cellaring.
