Rose and Kim Castine planted their first grapes in 1997 and have a passion for sustainable agriculture, including viticulture. With the assistance of Dr Mary Retallick, they were included in the inaugural Eco Vineyards programme in the Clare Valley, which focuses on enhancing functional biodiversity and in turn assists in improving efficiencies in water usage, undervine weed management and reducing chemical and environmental impacts.

The Castine family are committed to ensuring that their property is viable and sustainable for future generations, and the Wines by KT team are proud to have been wine growing with the Castines since 2020. From this vineyard, I make Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, and I’m thrilled to share my first release of the latter with you, the 2021 Castine Cabernet Sauvignon.
