Wines by KT are small, lovingly cared for parcels of fruit that have traditional techniques used in their creation. I’m passionate about the township of Watervale 5452 and am working with dry grown, sustainably farmed vineyards in the area. With gentle care from grapegrower to winemaker, working with sustainable principles, it’s my intention to produce wines with drinkability and personality.
Bianca Vermentino 2019
Bianca by KT is made from Vermentino grown by the Koerner family in the hamlet of Leasingham in the Clare Valley, as well as the Chalmers family from the Murray Darling.
Vermentino is a white grape variety that originally heralds from the island of Sardinia in Italy and is enjoyed for its resistance to dry and warm conditions and its high natural acidity. This wine is created using wild fermentation techniques, meaning there is no added yeast, and partially fermented in older French oak barrels. This Vermentino has gorgeous aromatics and florals and a textural savoury palate with a zesty citrus finish. It's perfect with a roast chicken!
Sealed with a screwcap to ensure the integrity of the product, you can be confident that this wine will continue to reward you with careful cellaring.
The Koerner family are long-term grape growers from the Watervale districts of the Clare Valley and the Vermentino vines were first planted in 2010.
