Be cool… Drink tempranillo…

Welcome to eKT
G’day folks... or should I say Hola..Spain’s national grape Tempranillo is a true drink of Summer...
Regardless of if you call it Tinto Fino, Cencibel, Ull de Liebre or Tinta Roriz, (which are just some of the many pseudonyms that Tempranillo enjoys on the Iberian Peninsula), this festive season should become a little bit cooler with a glass of this succulent variety.

With the many styles that are available out there it should be easy! I’m now making three different wines from the
Tempranillo grapes I harvest; rosa, tinta & 5452 by KT red blend.
Tempranillo is full of all of the aromatic red berry fruits that we love to devour at this time of year and then with all of its mouthcoating savoury tannin is also deliciously refreshing.
Just like they do in Spain our summer lends itself to drinking our medium bodied reds slightly chilled and enjoyed with a plate full of cured meats and marinated olives. So when the mercury hits high this season folks, don’t be afraid to chill your reds down a little in an ice bucket next to your riesling and
rosa...we often tend to drink them too warm at this time of year and you’ll be amazed at how much more structural interest you’ll be appreciating.
For those of you keeping an eye out for some tempranillo to enjoy throughout holiday festivities, here’s a list of some of the cool spots that are supporting tempranillo by KT across the country...
SA - Press*, Melt Pizzeria, Giallo, Rob Roy, Terroir
Vic - Mo Vida, Coda, Casa Ciuccio, The Supper Club
NSW - Cafe Dov, The Bridge Room, Ms G’s, Jugemu & Shimbashi, Selah, Booth St Bistro
ACT - Aubergine
QLD - Brew Cafe & Bar, Cha Cha Char, Harvey’s
There’s even a tempranillo by KT special six pack offer here for those of you looking to splash some around at home...
I’ve enjoyed watching my mailing list customer base grow this year to become a really lovely extended family of wine friends. Thanks to everyone this year for your ongoing support. I’m so grateful and look forward to creating more great wines in 2013.
May this festive season be a safe and happy one for you all.
Cheers, KT x
