G’day folks...An old(ish) girl is back!...and I’m certainly not referring to myself but to my just released 2008 Aged Release Peglidis Vineyard Watervale riesling. (33o56'36''S 138o38'09''E)

Over the last few weeks I’ve been busy preparing my 2012 rieslings for bottling (ready for Spring release) and I’m really loving tasting all of their punchy citrus zestiness and mouthwatering freshness. One of the joys of lively young riesling is dreaming how these characters will evolve over time, and there are few white wines which age as superbly as Watervale rieslings. So it’s also a delight to now release my 2008 Aged Release Peglidis Vineyard riesling. This carefully cellared selection, bottled back in August of 2008, has blossomed to show all of the gentle, toasty, lemon curd bottle aged characters that mature Watervale riesling is famous for. For those of you who have expressed interest in my 2012 riesling release (some of you already have stock on hold) you’ll need to hang on until September 1st. This past vintage was kind to me and I’ve been able to put some riesling aside to cellar for a future aged release. But that’s ages away so in the meantime you can enjoy the 2008 (so buy it now, otherwise you may be disappointed).

2010 5452 red has also recently been released and this particular vintage is a blend of shiraz, grenache, tempranillo and mataro. Sourced predominantly from Watervale Churinga Vineyard 33o56'05''S 138o38'39''E, 5452 red has plenty of vibrant fruit aromatics and plush juicy sweet mid concentration. 2010 reds have a lovely richness to them and this wine is already gathering quite the following. A big thanks to my friends Travis and Michelle from Cork Wine Bar in Adelaide who’ve already been great supporters.

To celebrate the release of these two wines, I’m offering mailing list customers an opportunity to purchase a special six pack. See the order form attached.

Thanks to those who have shown interest in my 2012 rieslings so keep an eye out for the Spring Release eKT in September and thanks everyone for the great feedback regarding the wines by KT features in both the recent Decanter and Qantas magazines.
Cheers, KT x
